Thread Together
Thread Together is a thrift event that aims to build community around the arts college at BGSU. The event gives students all around campus an opportunity to express their creativity and learn more sustainable habits through repurposing clothing. There are multiple phases to the event: phase 1: call for clothing donations, phase 2: main thrift event, and phase 3: social-post follow ups (for more detailed information on planning see slide deck below). The main event is a free, outdoor thrift shop for students to enjoy. At the event, there will be information on how to live more sustainably in terms of sourcing clothing. After the event students are encouraged to post the thrifted outfits that they created. Thread Together is a fun and sustainable way to engage students.
This project was created for an academic course at Bowling Green State University.
